Join the Free Taitaja2025 Seminars!

Taitaja2025 will give visitors a chance to attend free seminars in the Turku Fair Centre auditorium on Tuesday 6 May and Wednesday 7 May, 13:00-15:00. The seminars will deal with topical themes on the dramatic changes we are seeing in working life and international education policy. Come along to hear interesting talks by experts and to network with professionals in the field.
6.5.2025 13:00–15:00 National Finnish-language Seminar ‘Factors for a Good Future’.
The seminar will examine the dramatic changes we are seeing in working life from different points of view. The seminar will be opened by Satu Teerikangas, Professor of Management and Organisation at the University of Turku. Other speakers will include the futures designer and writer Minna Koskelo and representatives of business and the education sectors, who will shed light on their industries’ future plans from the perspective of companies, employees and training. There will be a recording of the seminar with Swedish subtitles.
7.5.2025 13:00–15:00 Seminar in English ‘Towards a better future – educational innovation and international collaboration’
The seminar will deal with international education policy and the development of skills and competencies through international collaboration. The main speakers will include Hiski Haukkala, Director of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, Maria Ekroth, Executive Director, Skills Finland and David Hoey, CEO of WorldSkills International. The seminar will also include presentations on international education policy and international education collaboration projects.
To liven up the proceedings, both seminars will include musical performances by students of the Turku Conservatory. The national seminar will also feature a dance performance by students of the Ballet School of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet.
