How to participate in the Competition

The competitors in the Finnish National Championship Taitaja are to be 22 years of age or younger during the year of the competition, and study for a vocational upper secondary qualification at a vocational institution in Finland.

The competition for the Finnish championship includes approximately 50 skills and over 400 competitors. Competitors are selected through trial competitions in vocational schools, and official Taitaja semifinals that are held during week 5 in several locations.

The official languages of the competition are Finland’s official languages, Finnish and Swedish. If you want to compete in Taitaja, please read more from this web sites pages in Finnish and Swedish.

For many years we have host some international guest competitors to Taitaja.

Please note that Taitaja2027 will NOT host any guest competitors. Taitaja2027 is organised at the same time and in the same location as international Abilympics competition. There will be alltogether over 800 competitors, so we will not be able to host any guest competitors.
