Welcome to Turku 2025
Taitaja2024 Kuopio culminated in a great ending ceremony on 23 May 2024. The ending ceremony also served as the moment for the traditional passing of the torch from one Taitaja team to another as the Turku Taitaja team, led by the competition leader Petri Hörkkö and Director of Education Services of the City of Turku Timo Jalonen, took over the organisation of the Taitaja2025 event. So next May, Taitaja will come to Turku!
In his speech, Petri Hörkkö thanked Kuopio for the excellently organised competition and promised to continue sharing the gospel of vocational education and training also in Turku. “Taitaja2025 Turku is honoured to accept this responsibility for Taitaja and promises to advance the empowering message of Taitaja towards the future openly, fairly, wisely and skilfully while celebrating competence.”
Next year’s Taitaja event is being prepared in cooperation with twelve education providers in Southwest Finland where the event will include nearly 50 categories and 6 professional demonstrations. Taitaja2025 Turku is free of charge and open to everyone, and it is expected to attract about 70,000 visitors to the Turku Fair Centre.
Taitaja2025 will be held in Turku on 5–8 May 2025. The event’s slogan is “vocational skills for the future” which will be widely present at next year’s Taitaja event.
